The classic life simulation game, the Sims, made an appearance at this years Gamescom by taking the stage to announce the Sims coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Mobile while diving into and announcing its new Sims 4 Cats and Dogs Expansion.
The expansion pack, Cats and Dogs, was announced for PC and Mac players with celebrity JiffPom, an adorable-ass dog, taking the stage to help announce the new expansion.
You’ll be able to fully customize your cats and dogs from their breeds to their colors to identifying marks and traits. Theoretically, you’ll even be able to re-create your favorite or long-lost pets in the game (RIP Bubbles).
Here’s a look at the trailer for the Sims 4 Cats and Dogs expansion.
The trailer provides a montage of playing with dogs and cats. We then get a look at a specific cuddly puppy on his journey into adulthood. From growing up to baths, from birthdays to trips to the vet, the dog looks to live a full and happy life. Unfortunately, it also looks like that pets do indeed pass away over time.
Honestly, in a world where guns and shooting and killing is the mainstream to “play”, it’s always great to see little things like this added to games and if it brings you just a little more joy for just a few solid moments, it’s absolutely worth it.
You’ll be able to play The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs when it releases November 10th, 2017.
